When a tornado warning has been issued, remember the following:
- Find shelter in core of the building (i.e.: restrooms, south or center stairways) STAY AWAY FROM ALL WINDOWS!
- Sit on the floor with your knees against your chest and tuck your head down.
- Place your hands over your head and neck. (Most tornado deaths are caused by head injuries).
- Do NOT leave the building.
- Do NOT attempt to use elevators.
- Do NOT seek shelter in your car.
- Do NOT open windows. Opening windows allows damaging winds to enter the building.
